Awareness on No Tobacco Day 2026 and Sensitization

An Awareness and Sensitization Programme was organized by Rotary club Hailakandi at Algapur MHCM College, Hailakandi, on 31 May 2026 to observe World No Tobacco Day. Conducted by the District Tobacco Control Cell (NHM), Hailakandi, in collaboration with ACCF, MHCM Senior Secondary School, and Rotary Club of Hailakandi, the programme promoted the theme “Unmasking the Appeal: Countering Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction.” Health experts discussed tobacco-related diseases and encouraged students to avoid tobacco products. A 100-metre tobacco-free zone was marked, and participants pledged to support a tobacco-free and healthy Hailakandi.

Art Competition for North East Integration Rally

Ankanshree Fine Arts, with the support of the Rotary Club of Hailakandi, successfully organised the Art Competition for the North East Integration Rally 2026 on 18 January 2026 at S. S. College, Hailakandi, Assam. The event brought together students from various schools, creating a vibrant platform for young artists to express ideas of unity, diversity, and cultural harmony through art. With colourful strokes and thoughtful themes, participants reflected the spirit of integration and togetherness of the North East. The competition encouraged creativity, confidence, and mutual understanding, making the programme an inspiring and memorable celebration of artistic talent among young minds.

VISIT TO CHILD CARE INSTITUTION

On 14th January 2026 at 03:00 PM, Rotarian friends visited the Child Care Institution (CCI), Silchar Road, Hailakandi, to conduct a humanitarian service activity for orphan children. During the visit, NEEM soaps, chocolates, and seasonal fruits were distributed, spreading happiness among the children. A basic health check-up was also conducted by Rtn. Dr. Nozmul Haque Mazarbhuiya, highlighting Rotary’s focus on child health and hygiene. The programme was attended by Rtn. Samiran Paul, Rtn. Dr. Nozmul Haque Mazarbhuiya, Rtn. Deepak Kumar Dey, Rtn. Kamal Choudhury, and other Rotarians. The initiative reflected the Rotary motto “Service Above Self” and emphasized collective responsibility toward the wellbeing of vulnerable children.

BLANKET DISTRIBUTION AT HAILAKANDI DISTRICT JAIL

On 14 January 2026 at 1:30 PM, Rotarian friends visited District Jail, Hailakandi and distributed 40 blankets to inmates as a humanitarian service initiative. The programme was attended by Rtn. Samiran Paul, Rtn. Dr. Nozmul Haque Mazarbhuiya, Rtn. Biva Bhusan Chakraborty, Rtn. Deepak Kumar Dey, and Rtn. Kamal Choudhury. Celebration of 150th year of Bande Mataram Community Service

Celebration of 150th year of Bande Mataram

On the auspicious occasion of the 150th year celebration of Bande Mataram, a grand Band Display was organized at Bata Chowk, Hailakandi town, on 13th November 2025 at 4:30 pm. The program was magnificently performed by the Hailakandi Police Band Display Team, showcasing patriotic tunes and stirring performances that filled the atmosphere with pride and reverence. The Rotarians of Hailakandi were cordially invited to witness this historic celebration and attended the event with great enthusiasm. Their presence added dignity to the occasion, and they actively participated in the program, standing in solidarity with the community to honor the spirit of Bande Mataram. The event not only commemorated 150 years of the national song but also reflected the unity and cultural pride of Hailakandi. The Rotarians expressed their appreciation for the Police Band’s inspiring performance and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering community spirit and patriotic values.

CHILDREN DAY CELEBRATION

I am very happy to be able to put SMILE on childrens face. Program organised by Rotary club Hailakandi collaboration with District Child Protection unit (DCPU). Member of Assam State Child Protection Society Mr Ajoy Dutta sir, District Child Protection officer (DCPO) and District Child Protection unit (DCPU), Dignified members of Rotary club and Doctor were visited CHILD CARE INSTITUTION (CCI) Gastola on the occasion of Childrens day and we always Stand for the needy children. We provide essential Nutritious Food, HEALTH CHECK-UP camp, medical facilities, SPORTS ITEMS & support them by Rotarian DOCTOR and team also provide them motivation & MENTAL SUPPORT. We the Rotarian under ROTARY INTERNATIONAL (RI 3240) will try our best to help them in every walk of life and on behalf of rotary club Hailakandi assured them soon they will get all Medical facilities. We extended our helping hands for ORPHAN CHILDRENS of our society.

AWARNESS PROGRAM ON MISSION VATSALYA SCHEME

On 13/08/2025 evening at 05:00 pm RC Hailakandi Organised a vibrant awareness programme at club premises on single parents STUDENTS FINANCIAL SUPPORT program under Misson Vatsalya Scheme for EDUCATION of needy minor students. Program organised in a JOINT VENTURE with District child protection unit (DCPU) Hailakandi and RC Hailakandi. Dignified members of RC Hailakandi, members of Inner Wheel Club were present and Miss KH BABITA LEIMA ( Legal cum provision officer) GOVT. OF ASSAM and Bishal Dasgupta ( project coordinator of child helpline) Hailakandi, were present and assured us to provide helping hands and support to the needy people of our District. From today onwards together we will provide support to the needy students of Single parents for education of minor children and will try to provide more awareness for benifit of minor needy children for their education.
